I have always loved film music, and exploring the relationship between music and moving image. I wrote my dissertation on the impact of Popular Music on film, which you can read here. Particular influences of mine when writing music for film are Trent Reznor, Mica Levi, Geoff Barrow, Brian Eno, Blood Orange & Jon Hopkins.
Below you can see some of the film projects I have scored, and sketches of my upcoming work for commercial media.

Music for Brands
I mocked together this advert to showcase the potential of my music, and production for commercial opportunities.

Commission for Charity Video
I was commissioned by Falcon Studios (Bristol) to compose the music for Manor House's charity video.

Blink Teaser
Here is a piece of music I was commissioned to do for a short horror film, utilising experimental electronic production techniques. The full film can be found below.

Blink
Up & Coming film director James Maitre approached me to score this short horror film, about a voyeuristic photographer who discovers she's being watched within one of her own photos. I was to compose an omnipresent, synth heavy score; reminiscent of John Carpenter's work on Halloween, and Disasterpeace's work on It Follows.

The Social Network Rescored
I re-scored the trailer for one of my favourite films, utilising ambient and minimalist techniques to create an emotive work.

Claws for Concern
Animation student Jack Madeley asked for an emotive, ambient composition for his animatic about a lonely bear living out of place in a city. I drew upon influences from Trent Reznor's Social Network score.

Donnie Darko (Rescored)
As part of the 'Music for Moving Image' module at Falmouth University, I re-scored a scene from one of my favourite films, Donnie Darko. I tried to bring a new sense of tension to the scene.

Badlands (Rescored)
This is a piece of diegetic music, intended to be playing out of the car as the couple dance to it. The music reflects the beauty and nostalgia created through Terence Malik's cinematography. I drew upon the faux-80's retro sound found in the Drive Soundtrack.

Wall of Sound
I edited together this film myself to work with a short EP I produced in my first year of university, where I combined abrasive synths and strings with manipulated acapella tracks from early Beach Boys sessions.
